ORLANDO, Fla. — The La Salle men's golf team competed in the second round of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday at Reunion Resort & Golf Club's par-72 Nicklaus Course.
The Explorers currently sit 11th in the team standings after combining for a total score of 614 (+38) after shooting 19-over for the second straight day. The final round of the tournament begins Sunday at 7:30 a.m.
Leading the Explorers has been freshman
Anthony Garcia, who sits in a tie for 27
th at 6-over par after totaling a 150 following a 5-over 77 in the second round Saturday. The freshman is six shots off the top 10 of the leaderboard.
Nikita Romanov is one stroke behind Garcia at 7-over par (151) after carding a 4-over 76 on Saturday. The senior is tied for 32nd place.
Alex Gekas has the third-best score for the Explorers after being the only Explorer to move up the leaderboard on Saturday. The sophomore climbed 11 spots to 47th place after firing a 2-over 74 to put him at 13-over (157) for the championship.
Freshman Kevin Lydon rounds out the Explorers' lineup, as he sits in a tie for 51
st at 14-over (157) after posting a 10-over 82 on Saturday.
