HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A trend of the season has been getting off to hot starts in the 200-medley relay, and today was no exception. Lauren Fenn, Carlota Ungo, Tori Fenn, and Toni Rafferty swam to a first-place finish in 1:45.66.
- Ungo added an individual win to her day in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:06.85. Following her in was Gabriela Herbreder in a time of 1:06.99.
- Much like meets past, Rafferty took control of the sprint events. The senior swam the 50-free in a time of 24.12, good enough for first place. Emma van Selm came in second to help bring La Salle even closer to the small Richmond lead overall.
- In the one-meter dive, Tiffany Brawn continued to shine. She took the top place with a final score of 253.05.
- In the 100-free, Rafferty took gold yet again. The South African phenom finished the event in 52.31.
- Ungo's second individual win of the meet came in the 200-yard breaststroke. Her race was finished in 2:23.92.
- In the 100-fly, Tori Fenn swam to a top spot, her first individual win of the meet. Her time in the event was 57.70.
- Continuing to fight, the Explorers kept the score close with two events left. Felicia Rogell took gold in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:09.65, meaning the final event of the day would dictate the meet.
- The 400-yard freestyle relay was close, but ultimately the Spider found the top spot and the meet.
