SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- The women are coming off a loss to Richmond on Thursday, but they competed the whole way. The meet came down to the final relay of the day, but the team came up shy.
- Toni Rafferty has been controlling every sprint event she has participated in, and the meet against Richmond was no different. The senior took the top-spot 50-free and the 100-free, much like she has done all season long.
- Carlota Ungo had three overall wins on the day Thursday against the Spiders. Her two individual wins came in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke.
- It's been a long layoff for the men's team and will be competing in their first meet since the end of November at the Fall Frenzy in Charlotte, N.C.
- Freshman Andrea Savoca had been having a special season before the men were on break. In the Fall Frenzy the Italian took first place in 100-yard breaststroke and broke a program record with that win (53.67).
- Carter Perkins performed strong in the last meet for the men. The freshman took sixth in the 400-yard medley relay and eighth in the 200-yard freestyle.
- The men's side will be getting back standout sophomore Felix Jedbratt tomorrow, after being without him due to injury for a majority of the season thus far.
SCOUTING THE BISON:
- The Bison last competed during the first weekend of December, where they put together a strong first-place performance at the Bucknell Invite. Bucknell beat out five other schools en route to its first-place finish.
- La Salle competed in the Bucknell Invite last year and finished seventh of eight teams, and Bucknell finished first.
- Bucknell is 15-20 in all-time dual meets against La Salle dating back to 1960. The two teams last met in 2012 and it was just the second time the Bison and Explorers went head-to-head since 1994.
