Men's Swimming and Diving | January 15, 2024
LEWISBURG, Pa. – La Salle men and women's swim and dive traveled to face the Bucknell Bison in a dual meet Saturday, but came up short. The men lost 179-121 and the women 185-115. Both teams will be back in action on Saturday against Fordham for senior day.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN):
- This was the first action for the men since late November, and although they came up short, they performed well against a tough Bison squad.
- The 200-medley team of Drew Bowen, Andrea Savoca, Felix Jedbratt, and Carter Perkins took the top spot in a time of 1:31.73.
- Jedbratt is returning after a stint of being injured, and he returned to the meet with vengeance. The sophomore took his second victory of the day in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in a time of 1:41.73.
- Standout freshman Andrea Savoca continues to impress in the breaststroke events, swimming to a top finish in the 100-yard with a time of 56.51.
- On the boards, Sam Henninger stood out in the one-meter dive. The graduate student secured a first-place finish with a score of 321.53. Lucas Dekaney finished right behind him with a score of 315.53.
- Savoca swam to his second first-place finish of the meet in the 200-yard breaststroke. He did so in a time of 2:05.59.
- Henninger and Dekaney repeated their performances in the three-meter dive finishing first and second, respectively. Henninger dove to a score of 297.68 and Dekaney 274.58.
- Another Explorer relay team took first in the 200-freestyle. Felix Jedbratt, Tarik Gusic, Caleb Ingham, and Carter Perkins swam to first place in a time of 1:23.90.
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN):
- To begin the meet, the team of Lauren Fenn, Carlota Ungo, Tori Fenn, and Toni Rafferty finished second in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:46.59.
- In the 1000-yard freestyle, Raven Domingo took second place. The junior finished in 10:51.07.
- Rosalia Marin Martinez helped the Explorers to a second-place time in the 100-yard backstroke. The sophomore from Spain finished in 59.16.
- Ungo found her second second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:07.85.
- Much like every meet prior, Rafferty took the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle. The senior finished the event in 24 seconds even. She finished the 100-yard free in second place in a time of 52.96.
- In the 200-yard breaststroke, Ungo finished in first, her first top finish of the meet. The Spaniard did so in 2:23.52.
- Tori Fenn finished in the gold spot in the 100-yard butterfly. The time for this first-place finish was 57.61.
- Tiffany Brawn swept in the diving events for the women. She finished the one-meter dive with a score of 254.85 and the three-meter dive with a score of 244.35.
- Another Explorer relay team finished on top. The team of Emma van Selm, Toni Rafferty, Tori Fenn, and Lauren Fenn swam the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:36.79.
