WASHINGTON, D.C. - La Salle men's basketball rounds out the month of January with a pair of road Atlantic 10 contests, beginning on Saturday evening at George Washington. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m., with a live broadcast available on ESPN+.

NEWS & NOTES
- The Explorers are looking to snap a four-game losing skid that was extended with a loss to #16 Dayton on Wednesday night.
- Sophomore Andres Marrero had a team-high 13 points as La Salle cut a 15-point deficit to just three with less than nine minutes to go but the nationally-ranked Flyers pulled away down the stretch.
- La Salle was held to a season-low five free throw attempts against the Flyers.
- As a team, La Salle committed 10 turnovers on the game - only three of which occurred in the second half. This season, the Explorers lead the Atlantic 10 in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.57).
- La Salle hosted a nationally-ranked opponent (#16 Dayton) for the first time since January 2, 2020 when the Flyers came to Gola Arena with a No. 20 national ranking.
- After Saturday's game, the Explorers will travel to Rhode Island to conclude a January that saw the team play five road games and three home contests.
- In February, the script flips and La Salle plays five home contests as opposed to just three away games.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
- The Revolutionaries enter having lost two straight, including an 82-74 defeat at the hands of Richmond, who enters Saturday with a perfect 6-0 Atlantic 10 record.
- Redshirt freshman Garrett Johnson led the team with 17 points against the Spiders, with four others reaching double figures in the game.
- Last season's A-10 scoring champion James Bishop IV had 15 points but shot just 4-of-18 from the field.
- Bishop is currently averaging 17.9 points per game, good for fifth in the Atlantic 10.
- Maximus Edwards, the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year in 2022-23, leads the team in rebounding at 7.3 boards per game while also averaging 12.8 ppg.
- GW is leading the A-10 in scoring at 81.4 points per game and is second in three-point field goal percentage at 38.2%.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Revolutionaries hold a 25-20 edge in the all-time series between the two schools, with the teams splitting a home-and-home series last year.
- In the game at GW last season, the home team received 29 points from James Bishop IV en route to a 92-85 win.Â
- Six Explorers scored in double figures in the game, including 14 from Daeshon Shepherd and 12 from Khalil Brantley.
- At Gola Arena, La Salle jumped out to a seven-point halftime lead en route to a 75-64 win.
- Brantley totaled a team-high 15 points while Jhamir Brickus had 11 points and six assists.
