SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle is coming off of it's eight consecutive loss on Tuesday night to Davidson 50-69. Molly Masciantonio scored a division one career-high 17 points in the loss, and had a season-high five steals.
  • The Explorers fought hard the entire way against the Wildcats and got within two points in the third quarter thanks to Makayla Miller. The graduate transfer took over playing iso-ball and after being down 39-32, brought the team back within two on consecutive possessions.
  • Miller would finish the game with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists after coming off the bench.
  • Junior Tiara Bolden made her first start of the season for La Salle and played 25 minutes by the end of the game. She scored five points and pulled in five rebounds.
  • Nicole Melious remains as the leading scorer for La Salle, even with the scoring slump she is in. The freshman averages 9.9 points per game, even with staying below ten points each of her last four games.
  • The match up between La Salle and Fordham has had its fair share of winning and losing streaks throughout history. The Explorers have won back-to-back games after dropping the last eight to Fordham. Back when the series started in 1984, La Salle won the first 14 games played.
SCOUTING THE RAMS:
  • Fordham earned their first conference win of the season on Wednesday in a 65-57 win over St. Bonaventure to bring them to 6-8 overall this season.
  • New Mexico State transfer Taylor Donaldson is the name to watch for La Salle. The senior is averaging 18.7 points per game this season and put up as many as 35 points against Saint Peter's.
  • As a team Fordham is strong shooting from the field. They are shooting .403 from the field and .327 from three-point range, so the Explorers will have to ensure they are defending from deep.
  • The Rams are led by first year head coach Bridgette Mitchell.
