PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle swimming and diving team concluded its opening weekend with its second straight day at Kirk Pool, this time competing against the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays.

The women's team earned its first meet of the season with a 153.5-136.5 decision, while the men's team fell by a score of 161-126.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- La Salle won the first three events of the day: the 400-yard medley relays and the women's 100-yard freestyle. The 3:56.62 result for the women's relay event secured the win, while 3:22.24 time for the La Salle men bested Johns Hopkins' best team in the relay.
- Raven Domingo took gold in the 1000-yard event with a time of 10:59.53, and Thilda Strom came in second with a time of 11:01.62.
- Felix Jedbratt continued his dominant weekend with a 1:42.62 result in the 200-yard freestyle, good for first place.
- Carlota Ungo won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.35, and then Andrea Savoca won the breaststroke with as well with his time of 58.58.
- In the women's 200-yard butterfly, Camilla Frost won her first-ever event in a La Salle uniform, recording a time of 2:10.01.
- Two more events the women would win were the 100-yard freestyle, done by Tori Fenn, and the 200-yard breaststroke, swam by Beren Celik.
- Savoca continued his dominance with a winning time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:05.26), then Cecilie and Camilla Frost went 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Jedbratt won another event, the 100-yard butterfly, followed by Felicia Rogell, who got the top spot in the 200-yard IM.
- The men's team capped off the swimming events with a win in the 200-yard free relay.
- For diving, both La Salle teams swept the one-meter and three-meter events. Tiffany Brawn (one-meter), Lucas Dekaney (both), and Kelsie Waddington (three-meter) were the victors.
UP NEXT
- The Explorers stay in the city for next week's road meet, competing against the Drexel Dragons on Saturday, Oct 19 for its first away competition of the season. The meet will start at 11:00 a.m.
