Swim and Dive Travels to Drexel this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – Explorers swimming and diving will compete in its first away meet of the season on Saturday against the Drexel Dragons. The meet will start at 11:00 a.m.
 
The meet will be streamed on FloSports. It can also be followed on X @LaSalleUSwim and on Instagram @lasalleuswim for updates throughout the competitions.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (WOMEN):
  • The La Salle women won last Saturday's meet against Johns Hopkins by a score of 153.5-136.5.
  • Its 400-yard medley relay team took first place to start the meet.
  • Raven Domingo won the first individual event of the day for the women in the 1000-yard freestyle.
  • The Frost twins, Cecilie and Camilla, each won an event. Cecilie won the 100-yard butterfly, and Camilla won the 200-yard butterfly.
  • Carlota Ungo won the 100-yard breaststroke, and Tori Fenn took gold in the 100-yard free event.
  • Two more events won by the Explorers came in the 200-yard breast (Beren Celik) and 100-yard butterfly (Felicia Rogell).
  • On the diving end, Tiffany Brawn won the one-meter event, and Kelsie Waddington took first in the three-meter event. 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (MEN):
  • The Explorers lost by a score of 161-126 to Johns Hopkins last Saturday.
  • In the opening event, the men's team took gold in the 400-yard medley relay.
  • Felix Jedbratt took the top spot in the 200-yard free and the 100-yard butterfly.
  • Andrea Savoca would also win two individual events, with his honors coming in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke.
  • The men's 200-yard free relay would also be won in the meet.
  • For diving, Lucas Dekaney won both the one-meter and three-meter events.
SCOUTING THE DRAGONS:
  • The Drexel women's team is coming off a sixth-place finish at its conference championship meet in the 2023-24 season.
  • The Dragons on the men's side finished in fourth place in the CAA Championships last season.
  • The head coach of the Dragons is Nathan Lavery.
