Men's Soccer Begins Playoff Campaign Friday

FAIRFAX, Va. – The La Salle men's soccer team travels south to play George Mason in the opening round of the 2024 Atlantic 10 Playoffs on Friday night.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET. It can also be followed on X @LaSalle_MSOC and on Instagram @lasalle_msoc.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS

La Salle's overall record is 6-7-4, with a 3-3-2 record in conference play.
The Explorers won its regular season finale 2-1 against George Washington last Saturday on the road.
Down a goal and a man in the 76^th minute, La Salle scored two goals in the final ten minutes for the win.
Drew Blackwell, who was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance, scored the game-winning goal (his first of the season) in the 85^th minute and recorded an assist on the other goal for La Salle.
Nevin Baer tied the game in the 80^th minute for his third goal of the season.
Tino Kneis was in goal for the third straight game and recorded his third win of the season when starting.
Shots were 15-10 in favor of the Blue and Gold.

SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS

George Mason's overall record is 12-3-1, going 6-1-1 in conference play.
In its last game, the Patriots tied VCU 0-0 last Saturday. Goalie Jaume Salvado made four saves to record his fifth clean sheet of the season.
Marek Gonda leads the team in goals with eight, which is tied for third in the conference.
