BOSTON – The La Salle men's basketball team fell on the road to the Northeastern Huskies, 82-68 on Tuesday night in Boston.
Daeshon Shepherd set a season-high in scoring with 18 points, five short of his career-high of 23.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- Northeastern started fast, scoring the first 10 points of the game to go up 10-0. Jahlil White broke the drought with a driving layup.
- La Salle began to climb back into the game, trimming the Husky advantage down to six points, 12-6 off another layup from White. Northeastern scored the next four points to push the lead back to double digits, 16-6 with 11:42 remaining on the board.
- The Huskies extended their lead to 20-6, of the Explorers scored 10 of the next 12 to cut the lead to eight, 22-16. Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi came off the bench to add five key points.
- The sides traded baskets, with Vahlberg Fasasi adding another basket to his total.
- Northeastern got hot again, scoring the next few points to build their lead back to 11 points, 31-20.
- The Explorers scored the last seven points of the half, including McKeithan getting a friendly bounce from deep, to take a 31-27 deficit into the half.
Second Half
- The second half began at a frantic clip. The team traded baskets fast and furious. McKeithan scored the first seven points for the Explorers, 36-34, Northeastern.
- Following a hookshot from Demetrius Lilley, the Huskies scored seven points in under a minute to stretch the lead back to nine, 45-36.
- Northeastern knocked down another three, put the Explorers did not stay down. La Salle exploded for an 11-0 run to cut the lead to one point, 48-47. McKeithan splashed back-to-back threes to end the run.
- The second frame proved to be a half of runs. The Huskies scored the next eight to put the advantage back at eight points, 56-47, with nine minutes remaining.
- After the teams traded baskets for a couple of minutes, La Salle found its footing on offense again, cutting the lead back to four points, 61-57 thanks to buckets from McKeithan and Daeshon Shepherd.
- Northeastern outscored the Explorers, 17-7 in the final 4:30, leading by as many as 13 at one point. The Huskies took the contest by a score of 82-68.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- McKeithan scored 20-plus points for the third consecutive game, and fourth time in five games.
- Lilley led the team in rebounds with nine.
- Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi tied his season-high with 11 points.
