SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • The Explorers fell in their last contest on Saturday to the VCU Rams 50-75. This marked the seventh-straight loss for La Salle, the second-longest losing streak of the season.
  • Despite the loss, three Explorers stood out on the offensive end of the floor. Molly Masciantonio led the way in points with 12 of her own, while also having four assists and two steals.
  • Makayla Miller and Tiara Bolden each scored 11 points in the loss. Miller also tallied three assists and three steals against VCU.
  • Miller is at the top of the scoring list for La Salle this season as she averages 10.2 points per game. After going scoreless against Richmond last week, the graduate student rebounded nicely against the Rams.
  • Against VCU, the Explorers once again struggled on the boards. The Rams were able to secure 44 total rebounds, 30 of those on the defensive end of the floor.
  • La Salle could only find 25 total rebounds, 10 on offense and 15 on defense.
  • The Explorers are ranked in certain categories within the conference worth noting: 3rd in 3-PT field goals made (202), 3rd in opponent 3-PT FG percentage (.291), and 3rd in steals (241).
  • La Salle has now lost seven-straight games after Saturday's loss to VCU. The Explorers sit at 4-12 in conference play. The Billikens are 7-9 in conference play alongside Fordham.
  • As a team, the Explorers take as many three-point shots as any team in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 27.5 per game. Nationally, La Salle is ranked 10th in the nation in that category. Marshall ranks first taking 31.3 three-point attempts per game this season.

SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS:
  • Saint Louis enters the game as the reigning Atlantic 10 Champions after winning the playoff tournament last year, however they are having a different regular season following that championship.
  • The Billikens sit at 12-17 overall, going 7-9 in conference play alongside the Fordham Rams. The Bills sit at tenth in conference rankings, three spots above La Salle.
  • The Saint Louis offense is as formidable as you will find in the conference. They sit just one spot behind the top-seeded Richmond Spiders in scoring, averaging 71.6 points per game.
  • Their defense, however, sits last in the A-10 as they give up 73.7 points per game this season.
  • Kayla McMakin ranks second in the A-10 in scoring this season. She averages 17.0 points per game. Not far behind her sits Peyton Kennedy for Saint Louis. Kennedy ranks sixth in scoring for the conference this season as she totals 15.4 points per game for Saint Louis this season
