NEWS & NOTES
- La Salle has had a season marked with ups and downs. The Explorers began the season 9-3, with two of the three losses coming against ACC schools.
- As La Salle closed the non-conference schedule and entered A-10 play, it dropped 11 of its next 13 games. A three-game homestand, beginning with an impressive win over UMass, spurred La Salle to find its stride again. The Explorers closed the season winning four of six games.
- The Explorers most recently fell to Loyola Chicago, 64-54. The game was tight early, being tied at 25 after the first 15 minutes, but the Ramblers went on a 12-3 run to close the first.
- Despite an impressive second-half defensive effort, which held Loyola to just seven points in the final eight minutes, La Salle could not mount a meaningful comeback effort.
- Jhamir Brickus showed why he has been regarded as a star in the Atlantic-10 all-season, reaching double-figures for the 64th time in his career. He put up 11 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.
- Khalil Brantley had his seventh straight game with five or more rebounds. He scored 10 points to hit the 10-plus marker for the 62nd time during his three years at La Salle.
- Daeshon Shepherd finally had his remarkable run of games slow down. The wing averaged 16.8 points per game in the seven contests prior to Loyola Chicago. The Norristown, Pa. native still made his presence felt, with seven points and six rebounds.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
- George Washington is 15-16 and 4-14 in the Atlantic-10.

- Bishop IV is the straw that stirs the drink for George Washington. The fifth-year has been named All A-10 twice, including a First-Team selection last season. He has been named A-10 Player of the Week three times this season. The guard is averaging 18.3 points per game.
- Forward Darren Buchanan Jr. has made a huge impact since returning to the lineup against UMass. The forward is averaging 18.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in his last four.
- Chris Caputo leads the Revolutionaries in his second season as a head coach. He comes to D.C. after spending 11 years on the Miami (FL) staff under Jim Larrinaga. Caputo is 30-31 as head coach.
