LEXINGTON, Va. – The La Salle water polo team (10-11) will open conference play this Saturday at VMI. The Explorers enter MAAC playing seeking the fourth straight berth in the conference championships.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle sits at 10-11 on the season. The Explorers had a very strong pair of games at Cal Baptist on Tuesday, going 2-0, including a massive 9-7 win over No. 22 Cal State Northridge. It is La Salle's first ranked win since 2021 and first ranked in a full season.
- Francesca Co' leads La Salle in goals (61), assists (21), and points (82).
- Martina Bonet Saez and Sofia Kolovou pair for 62 goals. The two plus Co' combine for 72% of La Salle's scoring output.
- Lily Kirby is in goal for the Explorers. The freshman has 184 saves on the year.
SCOUTING SIENA:
- Siena is 7-8 on the season, including an 0-4 record against ranked foes.
- The team has had two weeks off. They most recently battled at the Claremont Convergence, where they earned a 2-2 record.
- The contest will begin on Saturday, Mar. 16 at 2:00 p.m.
SCOUTING IONA:
- Iona is 6-9 overall, they began 5-4, but have dropped five of the last six.
- They last played on Wednesday, snapping their losing streak with a 13-4 victory over Connecticut College.
- The match will begin on Tuesday, Mar. 16 at 3:30 p.m.
SCOUTING VMI:
- Iona is 6-9 overall, they began 5-4, but have dropped five of the last six.
- They began the season 2-5, but have gone 3-3 in their last six matches.
- The match will begin on Sunday, Mar. 17 at 2:00 p.m.
