LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa.  – La Salle men's golf finished their two-day event at the Dragon Match Play Invite.

The Explorers finished in fourth place in the stroke-play portion on day one, setting them up with a match-play against the top-seeded Drexel Dragons. Drexel would wind up winning in the match-play by a score of four matches to one.
 
The first day of the event featured a 36-hole, two-round schedule in which La Salle finished in fourth out of eight teams with a 584 (+16). Ben Battye would finish on top for La Salle on day one after shooting a 145 (+3), good enough for ninth place. Armand Loscalzo finished tied for ninth with Battye, also shooting a 145 (+3).
 
La Salle would be seeded fourth in the second day match-play format where they would face the top-seeded Drexel Dragons. Freshman Gavin Dosch, in his first event this spring, secured the only win for La Salle in the match-play format. Dosch was tied with Drexel's Caleb Taylor going into the 18^th. Dosch was able to remain poised and shoot a birdie to secure his individual win.

• La Salle – 584 (4^th)
  • Ben Battye – 145 (+3)
  • Armand Loscalzo – 145 (+3)
  • Kevin Lydon – 147 (+5)
  • Gavin Dosch – 148 (+6)
  • Alex Gekas – 151 (+9)

 
DAY TWO RESULTS:

• Gavin Dosch – up 2 through 18 holes
• Alex Gekas – down 7 through 12 holes
• Armand Loscalzo – down 6 through 13 holes
• Ben Battye – down 8 through 11 holes
• Kevin Lydon – down 3 through 16 holes

UP NEXT:

• La Salle will be competing in the Wildcat Spring Invitational hosted by Villanova. The two-day event will be held at Lulu Country Club in Glenside, Pa.
• Each day will feature 18-holes of competition and will begin on Monday, April 15^th and finish on Tuesday, April 16^th.
