PRINCETON, N.J. – The La Salle men's and women's track & field teams ran at the Larry Ellis Invitational this weekend, its second meet at Princeton in three weeks. Senior distance runner
Taonga Mbambo shined, setting a personal best and earning first place in the 5000m run with a time of 14:04.65.
Results
- Christine Mancini finished 4th in a group of 42 runners in the 800m dash. Her time of 2:05.98 is just short of her personal best of 2:04.53
- Helene Usher and Neve Moulai each earned a top ten finish in the 5000m run. It was the first time Moulai has run the 5000m in her collegiate career. Nick Moulai finished in the top ten among 32 runners on the men's side (14:41.11).
- James Ptack dazzled in the 1500m, earning 4th in a group of 43 runners (3:50.24). Arthur Cosson (3:53.15) and Matt Hill (3:54.94) also competed in the event.
- Freshman Gwenno Goode set a collegiate best in the 3000m Steeplechase. She clocked a time of 10:18.44 to finish third in the event.

La Salle will again split the squad as the Explorers will compete at both the Rider Invitational and the Virginia Challenge next weekend.
