CAMDEN, N.J. - The La Salle University men's rowing team will take part in the 2024 Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River beginning Friday, May 10. The Explorers will have three boats that will take part in the largest regular intercollegiate rowing event in the United States.

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS

• La Salle comes into the competition with a pair of its boats nationally ranked - the varsity eight comes in at No. 18 nationally, while the second varsity eight stands at No. 17 in the IRCA/IRA Top 25 Poll.
• The last time out for the Explorers was the Bergen Cup Regatta on April 27, where two of the three crews in action earned gold.
• The second varsity handily defeated Drexel, Saint Joseph's, and Temple, all three of which had entered the race with national rankings.
• The varsity four crossed the finish line ahead of Drexel and Temple to win gold, while the varsity eight trailed only No. 16 Drexel en route to silver.
• On the season, La Salle's varsity eight has a 2-1 record against the Dragons, who are looking to defend their Dad Vail title from a season ago.
• The second varsity will be tested by the trio of city rivals who are ranked consecutively at No. 21 (St. Joe's), No. 22 (Temple), and No. 23 (Drexel).
