Men's Soccer to Play Inter-City Matchup Against Drexel Friday

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team go back on the road to play the Drexel Dragons on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Vidas Field. The Explorers will look to bounce back from their last game in which they lost 3-0 to NJIT this past Monday.
 
The game will stream on FloSports and can be followed on X @LaSalle_MSOC and on Instagram @lasalle_msoc.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle enters tomorrow after a home debut that ended up in them falling 3-0 to the NJIT Highlanders.
  • Giammarco Rodio led the Explorers in total shots from Monday's game with four, including two on goal.
  • Sean Yurgel in his season debut had three total shots, with two of them landing on goal.
  • Jules Dechert, in his career debut for La Salle, recorded five saves against the Highlanders.
  • Defender Iker Alvarado also made his career debut in an Explorers jersey against NJIT.
  • The Explorers pressed heavy throughout the second half of Monday's game, recording nine shots, and putting four of them on frame.
 
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS:
  • Like La Salle, Drexel enters tomorrow searching for their first win (and goal) of the season after losses to Marquette and Wisconsin to begin their 2024 campaign.
  • In their game against Wisconsin on Sunday, goalie Raphael Bartell recorded four saves and allowed four goals.
  • Midfielder Patrick Short led his team in total shots from Sunday's game with three.
  • Defender Yorgos Gavas and forward Dominick Bachstein lead the Dragons in shots on goal this season with two each.
