Men's Soccer Returns to Non-Conference Action in Lafayette Matchup

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team concludes its three-game homestand at McCarthy Stadium Tuesday night against the Lafayette Leopards. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle recorded a 0-0 draw last Saturday night against the Saint Louis Billikens in their first conference game of the season.
  • Randy Burkhardt, making his first start this season, made four saves to preserve the result.
  • The team was outshot 16 to seven, and had only three corners compared to the Billikens' 14.
  • Six different players recorded a shot, and three players each got a shot on goal.
  • The game was very chippy, with 24 fouls called and 10 total cards given out (including two reds).
 SCOUTING THE LEOPARDS:
  • Lafayette comes off a 2-1 loss to Navy last Saturday afternoon, and sports a season record of 3-3-2.
  • Roy Biegon scored his team-leading third goal of the season in the 72nd minute to temporarily tie the game at one.
  • Beaux Lizewski leads the team in assists with four.
  • In net, Griffin Huff has played most of the matches, starting six of the eight games played this season. He has made 22 saves.
