Men's Soccer Returns Home for Match Against Mount St. Mary's

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team will play its second home game of the season against the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers at McCarthy Stadium on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
 
The game will stream on ESPN+ and can be followed on X @LaSalle_MSOC and on Instagram @lasalle_msoc.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle returns home after a 3-2 road loss to the Drexel Dragons last Friday night.
  • Giammarco Rodio and Nevin Baer led the Explorers in total shots from Friday's game with three each. All three of Rodio's shots were on goal.
  • Kyrese Lynch-Bailey set up the Explorers' first goal of the season with his assist to Yuval Nimrodi in the 25th minute.
  • Sean Yurgel tallied the other goal for La Salle, when he capitalized on an assist from Dylan Kwasnik.
  • The Explorers recorded 14 shots throughout the game, with six total on goal.
 
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS:
  • Mount St. Mary's comes to Philadelphia tomorrow looking for their first victory of the season after two losses to Binghamton and Bucknell and a tie against Robert Morris to begin their 2024 campaign.
  • In their game against Bucknell on Saturday, goalkeeper Julian Marcos recorded four saves and allowed two goals.
  • Midfielder Junee Lee led his team in total shots from Sunday's game with three, and in shots on goal with two.
  • Freshman forward Abou Cherif leads the Mountaineers in goals this season with two.
