Track & Field Return to Ott Center for Third Meet, Achieve Multiple PRs

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle track and field teams took part in the Quaker Invite at the Ott Center Saturday afternoon.

This was the second straight weekend that the Explorers competed at the Ott Center, having run in the Penn Select Meet last Saturday.

HOW THEY FINISHED (WOMEN):
  • Nevaeh Davis finished in 21st place in the 60-meter event, getting a time of 8.04.
  • Brandalyn Jones got a season best in the triple jump, jumping a full 9.89 meters.
  • In the 400-meter sprint, Maya Primas placed 17th with a time of 1:00.69.
  • In the 500-meter run, Lexy Rivard got 13th place, crossing the line in 1:18.57.
  • For the last track event of the day on the women's side, Adaugo Ilonze got 27th place in the 200-meter with a time of 26.75.
HOW THEY FINISHED (MEN):
  • MacCallum Rowe got a podium finish in the mile, placing third with a personal best indoor time of 4:09.42.
  • Bram van Druten ended his mile run in 16th place, crossing the line in 4:20.2.
  • Callum Murray finished strong in the 800-meter run, getting a sixth place result with a time of 1:53.7.
  • James Ptack got a PR in the 1000-meter run, and ended up getting runner-up with a time of 2:24.9.
  • Ricky Lee also competed alongside Ptack, and he got 11th place in the event as he finished in 2:33.79.
  • Charlie Hazlett got sixth place and a personal indoor record in the 3k run, as he completed the event in 8:22.34.
UP NEXT
  • The Explorers travel to the Big Apple next weekend, competing in the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge on Friday. The meet will start at 9:30 a.m.
