St. Bonaventure, NY – The La Salle women's basketball team earned a 67-58 victory at St. Bonaventure on Wednesday night. Freshman Joan Quinn led the Explorers once again with 21 points for her second consecutive 20-point performance. Junior Ayisse Magassa and redshirt sophomore Ashleigh Connor added 13 and 10 points, respectively. Magassa and junior Anna Przyszlak grabbed 10 rebounds apiece. 

How It Happened: 

• In a game that featured 10 lead changes and three ties, the Bonnies jumped out to a 19-17 lead in a high-scoring first quarter.
• Quinn led all scorers with nine points in the first period and led all players with six points in the second quarter, as the Explorers outscored the Bonnies 15-13 in the second quarter to tie the game at 32-32 at the half.
• The Explorers outscored the Bonnies 8-2 on the third quarter to take the lead.
• A basket by Magassa with 5:16 to play in the third quarter capped a 7-0 La Salle run to make it 41-37.
• A basket by Connor and a three by Ty'Renisha Bowers at the buzzer gave the Explorers a 46-42 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
• La Salle extended its lead with four straight points to start the fourth quarter and extended the advantage to double digits on a bucket by Magassa with 4:03 to play that gave the Explorers a 59-48 advantage.
• The Bonnies fought back, but a three by Bowers with 2:19 to play put the game away, as the Explorers hung on for the victory.

Inside The Numbers:

• La Salle converted on 27-60 (45%) of field goal attempts throughout the game, while holding the Bonnies to 21-53 (39.6%) from the field on the night.
• The Explorers outscored the Bonnies 36-26 in the paint and held a 38-29 edge on the glass.
• La Salle led for 22 minutes throughout the game.
