Emittsburg, Md. -- The La Salle rugby team saw a complete scoring effort in a close match with Mount St. Mary's, despite ultimately falling, 36-32, in the season finale Saturday afternoon. 
Jocelyn Widrig scored two tries to lead the Explorers' balanced score sheet.

Kaylie Castro, 
Alyssa Post, and 
Bailey Borum-Gray added tries for La Salle. Borum-Gray also added a conversion. 
The match was played in a 13s format, modified to three periods. La Salle battled back from early deficits to claim a 32-24 lead after scoring the first two tries of the third period, before Mount St. Mary's ultimately pulled away. 
La Salle concludes its inaugural season at 2-8, though four of their loses came were within five points. The Explorers return virtually their entire roster, which was comprised of 21 freshman and a transfer underclassman.
