Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team fell 70-55 against Big East foe Villanova at John E. Glaser Arena on Wednesday night.
Junior
Eric Acker led the Explorers with 17 points, while redshirt sophomore
Rob Dockery added 13 points. Graduate student
Jaeden Marshall contributed 10 points.
After the Wildcats jumped out to a 9-0 lead, both teams went back and forth for the rest of the first, with Villanova leading 37-28 at the midway mark.
The Blue and Gold battled in the second half, but it wasn't enough, as Villanova outscored La Salle 33-27 in the second half to earn the victory.
Dockery led La Salle with eight rebounds on the night, as the Explorers held a 20-10 edge in bench points, but the Wildcats held a 25-11 advantage in points from turnovers.
La Salle returns to John E. Glaser Arena on Saturday against Lancaster Bible, with tip-off set for 5:00 pm.
