Charlotte, NC – La Salle swimming and diving delivered a record-breaking and energetic showing at the Queens Fall Frenzy. The women's team earned fifth place with 795 points, while the men's team finished seventh with 558. The Explorers impressed with five program records, NCAA standards, and standout individual efforts over the four-day meet.
Senior
Felix Jedbratt headlined the meet for La Salle, winning the 200-yd butterfly in 1:42.22 to achieve an NCAA Division I Standard—the only such qualifying mark by an Explorer at the event, setting an Atlantic 10 record in the process. Jedbratt also posted a 19.52 in the 50-yd freestyle and 45.79 in the 100-yd butterfly, winning those events as well, achieving an NCAA Division i standard in the latter event.
Junior
Carter Perkins also achieved a new program record on the men's team, finishing the 200-yd freestyle in a time of 1:36.11 to get fourth place.
On the women's side, senior
Gabriela Herbreder was a force for the women's team, recording a 50.2 lead-off in the 400-yd free relay (a new program record) and a third-place finish in the 200-yd medley relay, helping the squad achieve a time of 1:40.11. Her versatility and consistent relay presence fueled La Salle's charge to the podium.
To conclude the meet, the women achieved two program records in relay events, with the quarter of Herbreder, senior
Carlota Ungo, sophomore Camilla Frost, and senior
Tori Fenn setting records in the 200- and 400-yd medley relays.
La Salle returns to Kirk Pool for a home tri-meet, hosting UMass and Rhode Island on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m.
