St. Louis, MO - The La Salle men's soccer team will face off against top-seeded Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 tournament quarterfinals on Friday night, with kickoff set for 8:00 pm.

La Salle In The Atlantic 10 Tournament
This will be the 13th appearance for the Explorers in the A-10 tournament. and their third in the last fourth years. In their last appearance, La Salle lost to George Mason by a score of 2-0 in the 2024 tournament.
The Series
This will mark the fifth time the Explorers and the Billikens will play each other in the A-10 tournament. In 2010, the team defeated Saint Louis 2-0 to advance to the 2010 final match,

Forehand and freshman forward
Julius de Vries, both in their first season at La Salle, lead the team in goals with four apiece. Forehand won Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the week of 10/12-10/19, and de Vries earned Philly Soccer Six Rookie of the Week honors twice this season (9/29-10/5 and 10/20-10/26). Forehand also leads the team in total points with 10, with de Vries at spot number #2 with nine total points.

Senior goalie
Tino Kneis has been the leading goalie for the Explorers, starting in 15 of the team's 16 games this season. Kneis has won the Philly Soccer Six Goalie of the Week three times (8/18-8/24, 9/8-9/14, and 9/29-10/5), and he enters the tournament ranked second in saves per game in the A-10 with 4.47.
Ending with Excitement
The Explorers lead the conference in goals in the 75th minute or later with 13 overall, including an equalizer in the 82nd minute against George Washington to clinch a spot in the tournament. These goals gave the Explorers an additional 11 points in the season, with seven of those occurring in conference games.

The Explorers are 4-1-6 on the season when recording five or more shots on goal. La Salle is undefeated when scoring two goals in more, notching a record of 4-0-5.
