Baseball Unveils 2026 Schedule

Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle baseball program has unveiled its 2026 schedule, kicking off the team's first season back in competition since 2021.

La Salle, which reinstated the program in early 2024, will open the season on February 13 at University of Maryland Eastern Shore in what will be the program's first game since May 22, 2021. That will be one of three weekend series in the month of February – all on the road – for the Explorers.

Baseball will return to the friendly confines of Hank DeVincent Field on February 25, with a mid-week showdown against Delaware. It will be the first baseball game played at 20th and Olney since a win against Saint Joseph's on May 9, 2021.

After the first three weekend series in February – Maryland Eastern Shore (Feb. 13-15), Delaware State (Feb. 20-22), and Coppin State (Feb. 27-March 1) – La Salle heads south for a four-game set at Clemson, March 6-8. La Salle will play a Saturday doubleheader sandwiched between Friday and Sunday contests against Clemson, the alma mater of La Salle head coach David Miller, a 1995 All-American for the Tigers who was taken in the first round of the MLB Draft later that year by the then-Cleveland Indians.

La Salle re-enters the Philadelphia baseball scene with Big 5 showdowns against Villanova (March 10), Penn (March 24), and Saint Joseph's (April 24-26), and sees fellow Pennsylvania foes Bucknell (March 31) and Lafayette (March 11, 18)

The non-conference schedule makes up for 25 of La Salle's total games, with the remaining 30 coming during Atlantic 10 Conference play.

La Salle opens the A-10 slate with a trip to Richmond, Virginia, to take on Virginia Commonwealth March 13-15. The following weekend, the Explorers will host Davidson for the first home conference series.

April will see La Salle host three weekend conference series – Richmond (April 2-4), Fordham (April 17-19) and Saint Joseph's (April 24-26) – as part of 12 total home games at DeVincent Field during the month. April 17-28 will be a season-high eight-game homestand, with non-conferences games against Manhattan (April 21) and UMBC (April 28) in addition to the Fordham and St. Joseph's series.

The month of April will also feature the Explorers traveling north to meet reigning 2025 A-10 Champion Rhode Island on April 10-12.

May will feature three consecutive weekends of A-10 series at Dayton (May 1-3), home against St. Bonaventure (TBA), and back on the road at George Mason (May 14-16) leading up to the postseason.

The Atlantic 10 Tournament will be held at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia, May 20-23. The top six teams in the A-10 regular season standings will qualify for the double-elimination tournament.

La Salle baseball and friends will kick off the season with a First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, January 31, 2026. To sign up today, visit goexplorers.com/FirstPitchBanquet2026.
