Two New Program Records Set In Day One of A-10 Championships

Hampton, VA – Explorers men's and women's swim and dive teams began the Atlantic-10 Conference Championships today at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex. While only five events were held today, both squads came away with podium finishes, and two women's new program records were achieved.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

In the first finals race of the day, the relay team of Gabrysia Herbreder, Carlota Ungo, Camilla Frost, and Tori Fenn placed third with a time of 1:40.22 in the 200-yard medley. The time also set a new La Salle program in that event.
For the men's 200-yard medley, the team of Tarik Gusic, Andrea Savoca, Felix Jedbratt, and Carter Perkins got bronze, finishing in exactly 1:27.
In the women's 800-yard free relay, the squad of Herbreder, Felicia Rogell, Beren Celik, and Zyenna Martinez posted a new program record with a time of 7:25.71.
Tiffany Brawn led the Explorers in the one-meter diving event with a score of 254.1.
