Swim and Dive Continue A-10 Championships With More Program Records Set

Hampton, VA – Explorers men's and women's swim and dive teams continued competition in the Atlantic-10 Conference Championships Thursday. Building off a strong day one, both squads each recorded podium finishes, along with three more program records broken.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Tori Fenn placed sixth overall in the 50-yard free with a time of 23.06, building off her prelims time of 23.09.
  • Gabrysia Herbreder placed ninth in the 200-yard IM finals, finishing the event in 2:00.20.
  • In the 200-yard IM event for the men, Andrea Savoca completed it in 1:47.85.
  • Felix Jedbratt won La Salle's first event of the meet, setting both an A-10 and program record with a time of 19.2.
  • For the relays, the women's 200-free team of Emma Van Selm, Fenn, Maren Schermerhorn, and Herbreder set a program record with a time of 1:31.66 to get third place.
  • On the men's side, the team of Jedbratt, Tarik Gusic, Austin Wakefield, and Caleb Ingham recorded a time of 1:20.24 to break a La Salle program record.
  • In diving, Lucas Dekaney's score of 299.6 was good for fourth place.
UP NEXT
  • The conference championships will start its third day at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow with the preliminaries. Finals will begin at 6:00 p.m. Links to live stats and the streams are attached.
