Women's Basketball To Play Final Road Game Of Season Against Fordham Wednesday

Bronx, NY – After a close loss at home to St. Bonaventure last Saturday, the La Salle women's basketball team travels one last time this regular season to take on the Fordham Rams Wednesday at 7:00 pm. 

The Return Of Aryss  

Sophomore Aryss Macktoon has made an immediate impact since returning from injury on Feb. 8.  Macktoon returned from injury against Saint Louis and made an immediate impact in her last four games. She has averaged over 10 points per game in that span and continued to improve on her team lead in steals, with over two per game. 
 
The Series 
   
The Explorers lead the overall series 38-17 against the Rams. In their previous matchup this season, the Rams defeated the Explorers by a score of 61-58 on Feb. 26. Macktoon led the team in scoring that game with 15 points, going 7-13 on field goal attempts.. 
  
Consistency Is Key 
  
Junior Ayisse Magassa is the lone Explorer to start all 29 games this season. Magassa leads the team in offensive rebounds with 59. Additionally, she leads the Blue and Gold in field goal percentage at 44.7%. 
  
Crashing The Boards 
  
The Explorers' 31 defensive rebounds against St. Bonaventure last Saturday were the most the squad had in a game since its Jan. 22 game against Duquesne.  
 
Stealing the Ball 
  
Freshman Joan Quinn recorded four steals against the Bonnies last Saturday, leading the team in that category. It matched a career high for her, and she is now tied for second on the team with steals this season.  
The Explorers rank fourth in the Atlantic 10 with 9.2 steals per game. 

The Magic Formula 
  
The Explorers are 4-1 on the season when allowing fewer than 55 points. La Salle is 6-1 on the season when scoring 65 or more points.
  
Scouting The Rams 
  
Fordham enters Wednesday's game with a record of 14-13 and a conference record of 8-8. The Rams have lost six of their last eight games, but are 9-4 at home this season.  
  
Next Up 
 
La Salle will host its regular season finale on Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. against the VCU Rams.
