Taylor Thames has announced the Spring Philly Soccer 6 Cup placement games, including the final, will be held at WSFS Complex in Chester, Pa., home to the MLS club Philadelphia Union. The placement games, which will be held on Saturday, April 12, will have the first-, third-, and fifth-place games kick off simultaneously at 8:00 p.m. The games are free and open to the public.
The Spring Philly Soccer 6 Cup is comprised of six teams: La Salle, Rider, Temple, Villanova, Saint Joseph's, and Drexel. The Explorers are coupled in the North Pod with Rider and Temple, and will play each of those teams once in the group stage round. Villanova, Saint Joseph's and Drexel are in the South Pod, and each team will play its other pod opponents once. After the group stage matches are completed, the first-place pod teams will play in the first-place game, the second-place teams in each pod will play in the third-place game, and the third place teams in each pod will play in the fifth-place game.
The Explorers will play its first pod game at home on March 28 at McCarthy Stadium at 7:00 p.m against Rider. La Salle will play its second pod game the following Friday, April 4, in a road match against Temple at 7:00 p.m.
