PHILADELPHIA – Head coach Kelsie McDowell has announced the schedule for the inaugural season of the La Salle women's rugby team. The Explorers will play four home games at Hank DeVincent Field in the fall.
The first game in La Salle women's rugby program history will take place on August 30 as the Explorers host Mount St. Mary's. Another foe from Western Maryland will visit a week later on September 6 in Frostburg State.
The first away contest in team history will take place on September 20 when La Salle travels south to face Navy. September 27 will be a day to remember as the team faces its first Philly rival ever in Temple at DeVincent Field. The following week, La Salle will head to Quinnipiac.
The season will conclude playing host to Army on October 18 and a trip to Mount St. Mary's on October 25.
