PHILADELPHIA - La Salle dropped its season opener Friday afternoon, falling 4–0 to Lehigh at Ellen Ryan Field on the campus of Saint Joseph's University. The Mountain Hawks scored in each quarter, including a pair of second-half penalty strokes to hand the Explorers a tough loss in their first action of 2025.

Lehigh captain Kiki Mes opened the scoring less than six minutes in. Ella Stephenson doubled the Mountain Hawks' lead late in the second quarter before converting a penalty stroke early in the third to make it 3–0. The final goal came in the fourth quarter on another stroke, this time from Lela Boermeester.

La Salle was outshot 28-9 and managed only one shot on goal via senior Shea Burns. Junior goalkeeper Abby Boggs contributed 18 saves and only allowed two goals on regulation attempts. She was recently named to the NFHCA Pre-Season Watchlist alongside sophomore standout Roos Pasveer.

The loss drops La Salle to 0-1 on the young season. The team will aim to regroup quickly and find more consistency on both ends of the field ahead of its next contest against New Haven, who is participating in their first season at the Division I level.
