PHILADELPHIA – Former La Salle Water Polo star and volunteer assistant coach Hannah Woren, has been named assistant coach of the Explorers, head coach Jason Grubb announced. Woren, who spent time as a volunteer coach on staff last season, will begin in her new role immediately.

Woren spent four seasons playing for the Explorers. She was named team captain for the 2024 season, where La Salle secured its first win over a ranked opponent in a non-COVID season. During her time with the program, the Colorado native helped La Salle to four consecutive MAAC Championship berths.  Woren ranks top ten in program history in steals and games played.

The Explorers will look to build on an exciting 2025 campaign which saw La Salle rebound from dropping its first seven games to earn a 13-9 record the rest of the way, including a 6-6 mark in conference play. La Salle defeated conference foe No. 18 Wagner for the first time in program history to close the campaign out.
