Conshocken, PA – La Salle dropped its third game of the season Friday afternoon, falling 3–0 to Villanova at The Proving Grounds.

After a scoreless first half, the Wildcats broke through in the third quarter with three goals in a span of just over eight minutes. Evelyn O'Neill opened the scoring at the 32:09 mark, finishing off a setup from Barrett Trigg. Less than four minutes later, Aimee Largoza doubled the advantage with an unassisted strike. Villanova capped the decisive stretch when Colleen Finnan converted off a feed from Gemma Lysaght in the 41st minute.

La Salle managed just two shots on the afternoon, both on target, while Villanova outshot the Explorers 16–2. Junior goalkeeper Abby Boggs did her part to keep the margin manageable, recording seven saves, including three in the final frame. The loss drops La Salle to 1–4 on the year, while Villanova improves to 2–3.

The Explorers return to action Sunday in Philadelphia when they face Cornell in a neutral matchup at Ellen Vagelos Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
