Conshohocken, PA - La Salle struck first on Friday afternoon, but a pair of Richmond goals, including the golden goal, lifted the Spiders past the Explorers in their first home game at The Proving Grounds this season.

Junior Darian DeLeo opened the scoring in the 14th minute, finishing off a setup from junior Matilda Diedrichsen to give the Blue and Gold an early lead. Richmond equalized eight minutes later when Clara Larripa converted off an assist from Alexa Derr.

The Explorers held firm through regulation behind a strong performance from goalkeeper Abby Boggs, who recorded eight saves, while Diedrichsen added a defensive save of her own.

Richmond found the winner in the 66th minute, as Emma Williams netted the deciding goal off another feed from Larripa to push the Spiders to 5–3. La Salle dropped to 2–6.

The Explorers return to action Sunday against Bryant at Ellen Vagelos Field before continuing a four-game Philadelphia stretch that includes two more home contests and a matchup at Drexel.
