Towson, MD - The La Salle University men's and women's swim and dive teams begin their 2025-26 seasons Saturday morning, competing in a road dual meet against the Towson Tigers. The meet will start at 10 a.m.
The men's team and women's teams are hoping to build off last year's top-five finishes in the conference championship meet. The men finished fifth last year in the conference championship with 326 points, and the women finished in eighth with 268 points. In the preseason poll, the men are projected to finish fifth, and the women are projected to finish seventh.
Who's Back
Senior
Gabriela Herbreder returns to the women's team after earning three medals last year at the A-10 conference championships, along with setting five program records at that four-day meet. Senior
Tori Fenn also returns, who earned bronze in the 200-yard medley relay last year at conference and helped break two relay program records last year. On the men's side, senior
Felix Jedbratt comes back after a junior year with many accolades. Jedbratt earned Philly-SIDA All-Academic honors and CSCAA Scholar All-America honors last year, following a junior campaign where he became the first La Salle men's swimmer since 1992 to swim in the NCAA Championships. He set five program records at conference last year, won five medals, and set a new conference record in the 50-yard free at conference championships. Junior
Andrea Savoca returns after winning two medals and getting two program records at conference last year.
New Faces
La Salle adds a talented freshman class in 2025, featuring six freshmen on the men's team, and another six freshmen on the women's team. Sophomore
Calvin LeBlanc joins the men's team, transferring from NC State, while sophomore
Oscar Kroos transferred in from King University.
The Schedule
The Explorers' 2025-26 schedule consists of 12 meets. After the Towson meet, the teams compete in their home opener against Drexel on Saturday, October 18 at Kirk Pool. After a trio of meets in November, the teams return home in a December meet against Rhode Island and UMass, followed by a busy January where both teams will swim in four dual meets. The senior day meet is set for January 24 at Kirk Pool against Fordham. After their final January meet, which is at Monmouth on Saturday, January 31, the team will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships from February 18-21. The season concludes with the NCAA Championship meet on Wednesday, March 25.
