Explorers Start Indoor Season At Penn Select Meet

Philadelphia, PA – La Salle men's and women track & field started their 2026 indoor seasons at the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Select meet Saturday afternoon, their first of four trips to the Ott Center this season.

On the men's side, freshman Ryan Stankiewicz made his La Salle debut one to remember, qualifying for the 60-meter finals with a prelims time of 7.03, then placing fifth overall in the finals with a result of 6.99. He led all La Salle runners in the 400-meter run with a 12th place finish (51.08). In the 200-meter dash, freshman Koan Sinor was 11th with a time of 22.97, while junior Deion McIntosh was right behind at 23.03 to get 13th. To conclude the day, the men's 4x400-meter relay team of freshmen Jonathan Schuck, Anthony D'Angelo, and Jordan Grady, and sophomore Evan Dias, placed fifth with a time of 3:26.52.

For the women, junior Soleil Morrison was fourth overall in the 200-meter dash, completing it in 56.63. Sophomore Adaugo Ilonze had a time of 9.91 in the 60-meter hurdles to place 19th, while sophomore Jorden Gore led the way for the women's team in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.92 to secure 22nd place. In the pits, sophomores Marionna Logan and Tiera Ly recorded distances of 4.91 and 4.86 meters respectively in the long jump.

The teams will return to the Ott Center next Saturday in the Quaker Invitational next Saturday. It is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am and will be streamed on ESPN+.
