Chester, PA - The La Salle track and field teams ran once again in southeastern PA, completing a two-day meet this weekend at the Paul Donahue Invite, hosted by Widener University.
On the men's side, freshman Kenji Samuel recorded a jump of 6.73 to place sixth in the long jump. In the mile, sophomore Ricky Lee got a time of 4:10.05 to place eighth overall. Junior Malthe Bohebjerg was 12th in the 1500-meter run, finishing in 3:58.64. Over in the 800-meter run, sophomore Evan Dias placed ninth, running it in 1:54.31. Freshman Caleb Johnson finished in the 400-meter hurdles to place ninth.
For the women, sophomore Jorden Gore set a new program record once again in the 100-meter dash, placing third with a time of 11.81. On the hurdles event of that distance, sophomore Adaugo Ilonze got ninth with a time of 15.3. Sophomore Havanna Gorden got seventh in the 400-meter run (time of 59.27), while senior Lexy Rivard placed sixth in the 1500-meter run (4:28.94). Senior Ella Verello was ninth in the 5k (17:53.26), and freshman Felicia Morris placed third in the triple jump with a length of 11.47 meters. On the relay side, the 4x100-meter team of Ilonze, Gore, freshman Carleen Lionel, and sophomore Marionna Logan earned fourth with a time of 48.07.
La Salle track & field stays racing in the Philadelphia metro area next weekend, competing in the Penn Relays from Thursday through Saturday.
