Raleigh, NC and Chester, PA - The La Salle track teams continued their seasons this weekend at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State and the Danny Curran Invite hosted by Widener.
At the Raleigh Relays, the Explorers had athletes compete in the 1500-meter, 3k steeple, and 5k. Freshman Sean Cronin was 31st in the 1500-meter with a time of 3:43.72, while senior Chanel Muir was 52nd (time of 3:46.08). On the women's edition of the event, senior Lexy Rivard was 116th, crossing in 4:31.05. Junior Gwenno Goode was 12th overall in the 3k steeple, finishing in 10:15.38. On the 5k, senior Charlie Hazlett's time of 14:10.96 got 54th place, while junior Matt Hill placed 68th (14:17.72). Senior Neve Moulai was 87th with her time of 17:00.26.
In the Danny Curran Invite, there were entries in the women's 1500-meter and the men's 800-meter runs. For the women, freshman Natalie Clauhs was 46th (5:17.87) and senior Emma Taylor was a spot behind her (5:18.01). Junior Catey Gandolfo-Lucia rounded out the finish for the team at the meet with her time of 5:52.49. On the men's team, senior Gavin Zanck's time of 1:59.58 was good for 26th place, while freshman Cody Wintrode got 48th place (2:01.61).
La Salle track & field continues action next Saturday in the Sam Howell Invite.
