Swim And Dive Face Off Against Bucknell In First Meet Of 2026

Lewisburg, PA — The La Salle swimming and diving teams traveled to central Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon to take on Bucknell University. The Explorers lost to the Bison on both sides, with the women falling 188–112 and the men dropping a 183–114 decision.

La Salle opened the meet on a strong note in the relays, with the women's 200-yard medley relay team of senior Rosalia Marin Martinez, sophomore Beren Celik, sophomore Camilla Frost, and senior Tori Fenn captured first place with a time of 1:45.52. Celik then went on to win the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.41, followed by a win in the 200-yard breast (time of 2:21.16).

On the men's side, junior Carter Perkins continued his impressive season with victories in both the 50-yard freestyle (20.52) and the 100-yard freestyle (44.84). Senior Felix Jedbratt added two more wins for the Explorers, touching first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:49.62) and the 100-yard butterfly (48.22). Freshman Blaise Hofmann also had a strong showing, winning the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:50.38. In the men's three-meter dive, the Explorers went 1-2-3, with sophomore Calvin LeBlanc winning and senior Carter Randall and junior Liam Cahill going second and third.

For the women, Fenn added a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking 24.26, while the Explorers recorded multiple top-three finishes across the sprint and distance events. On the boards, junior Tiffany Brawn won the one-meter with a score of 247.05, and freshman Lily Chandler was the winner in the three-meter board (277.13 score).

To conclude the meet, the Explorers won the final event: the men's 400-yard free relay. The quartet of Perkins, Jedbratt, sophomore Noah Fredriksson, and senior Tarik Gusic posted a winning time of 3:03.06.

The men return to action on Thursday at Penn at 5 p.m., while the women will compete next at Rutgers at 5 p.m. Friday.
