Men's Basketball Takes on George Washington on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team (4-10, 0-1 A10) will travel to the nation's capital for its first Atlantic 10 road game of the season, taking on George Washington (10-4, 1-0 A10) at Charles E. Smith Center in Washington D.C. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m.

Rebound That Jawn

La Salle ranks second in the Atlantic 10 and 61st in the nation with 13.2 offensive rebounds per game. La Salle has outrebounded their opponent in 10 of their 14 games. 

Marshall Leads The Way

Graduate student guard Jaeden Marshall leads the team with 12.9 points per game and 25 3-point field goals.

In the Explorers' A-10 opener against George Mason, Marshall played a season-high 36 minutes, scoring 14 points while shooting 4-of-8 from 3-point range. Marshall has made multiple 3-point field goals in six of his last seven games.

Marshall is shooting 51-of-56 (91.1%) from the free-throw line this season, the third-best percentage in the A-10 and the 30th-best in the nation.

A Storm Is Brewing

In his first game since Nov. 29, redshirt junior guard Jerome Brewer Jr. netted 21 points against George Mason, including 17 in the second half.

Brewer Jr. knocked down a season-high 8-of-13 field goal attempts against the Patriots, including a season-high three 3-point field goals.

Walker Continues To Impress

Freshman guard Ashton Walker has scored 121 points this season, the second most on the team. 

Walker leads the team with 51 assists and ranks ninth in the A-10 with 3.6 assists per game. His assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.4 ranks seventh in the league.

Johnson Makes Season Debut

Sophomore guard Jaden Johnson made his La Salle and season debut in the Explorers' A-10 opener against George Mason. Johnson started and played 26 minutes, finishing with four points and a team-high five assists.

Block Party

Edwin Daniel ranks fifth in the A-10 with 18 blocks and 1.3 blocks per game. Daniel has recorded at least one blocked shot in nine straight games.

Harris Records Another Double-Double

Graduate student forward Josiah Harris ranks third in the A-10 with three double-doubles during the 2025-26 campaign. In his last game, Harris tallied 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in the A-10 opener against George Mason.

Starting Shuffle

Through 14 games, La Salle has rolled out 13 different starting lineups. 13 players have started at least one game, while graduate guard Jaeden Marshall and freshman guard Ashton Walker lead the way with 11 starts on the season. 

The Series

This is the 51st all-time meeting between the programs. George Washington leads the all-time series 27-23. The teams split the two meetings last season.

Scouting The Revolutionaries

George Washington has the 27th-best scoring offense in the nation, averaging 88.4 points per game. The Explorers have already played two top-10 scoring offenses this season, Michigan (third) and High Point (eighth).

The Revolutionaries round out the top 40 in field goal percentage, shooting 49.4% from the field. George Washington also ranks inside the top 40 in free throws made per game (18.9) and free throw attempts per game (25.4).

Rafael Castro leads the team and ranks sixth in the A-10 with 15.9 points per game. He leads the conference in free throws (67) and free throw attempts (96).

Next Up

La Salle will travel to Rhode Island to face the Rams on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m. The teams split the two regular-season matchups last season.
