PISCATAWAY, N.J. — La Salle women's swimming and diving faced a tough test on the road at Rutgers, falling 225-71 on Friday evening at Rutgers Aquatic Center.
Beren Celik delivered the team's highest individual finishes, earning second place in both the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.51 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:09.51.
Tori Fenn provided consistency in the sprint events, placing third in both the 100-yard backstroke (57.89) and the 100-yard freestyle (53.52). Fenn also anchored the second-place 200 freestyle relay.
Felicia Rogell contributed a strong performance in the butterfly and distance events, tying for third in the 100-yard butterfly at 58.27 and finishing fourth in the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:55.46.
Gabriela Herbreder matched Rogell's mark in the 100 fly and recorded a fourth-place result in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.48.
The Explorers closed the meet on a high note in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the quartet of Herbreder, Fenn, Schermerhorn and Van Selm secured second place with a time of 1:38.66.
