PHILADELPHIA, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team (4-11, 0-2 A-10) continues Atlantic-10 play, visiting Rhode Island (9-6, 0-2 A-10) at the Thomas M. Ryan Center in Kingston on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m.
Marshall Leads The Way
Graduate student guard Jaeden Marshall leads the team with 12.9 points per game and 27 3-point field goals.
Over his last six games, Marshall is averaging 15.3 points per game. Marshall has also knocked down at least one 3-pointer in eight straight games.
Marshall is shooting 52-of-58 (89.7%) from the free-throw line this season, the third-best percentage in the A-10 while ranking 41st in the nation.
What's Up, Dock?
Redshirt sophomore guard Rob Dockery delivered a career-best performance in his hometown against George Washington, scoring a career-high 23 points while hauling in five rebounds. Dockery shot 8-for-11 from the field and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc against the Revolutionaries.
Dockery is averaging 16.5 points and six rebounds in the Explorers' two conference games.
Block Party
Junior forward Edwin Daniel is fifth in the A-10 and 99th in the nation with 21 blocks. Daniel has recorded at least one blocked shot in 10 straight games.
Against George Washington, Daniel registered three blocked shots, matching his career-high in a single game for the fourth time this season.
Dishing Out Dimes
Sophomore guard Jaden Johnson had an assist-to-turnover ratio of 10 to 1 in La Salle's first two conference games, the seventh-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the country last week (Dec. 29 - Jan. 4).
Rebound That Jawn
La Salle ranks fourth in the A-10 and 83rd in the nation with 12.8 offensive rebounds per game. The Blue and Gold have outrebounded their opponent in 10 of their 15 games this season.
Protecting the Rock
Since Johnson's return, the Explorers are committing just seven turnovers per game, which is tied for the third fewest in the A-10. La Salle finished eighth in the NCAA last week (Dec. 29 - Jan. 4 ) in fewest turnovers committed per game.
Starting Shuffle
Through 15 games, the Blue and Gold have rolled out 14 different starting lineups. 13 players have started at least one game, while graduate student guard Jaeden Marshall leads the way with 12 starts on the season.
Seeing Double
Graduate student forward Josiah Harris ranks fourth in the A-10 with three double-doubles during the 2025-26 campaign.
The Series
It is the 47th all-time meeting between the programs. Rhode Island leads the all-time series 34-12. The teams split the two meetings last season.
Scouting The Rams
Rhode Island has a top-40 defense in the nation, allowing just 66.5 points per game. The Rams are giving up just 61 points per game during A-10 play, the fewest in the league.
The Rams also round out the nation's top 40 with 15.1 turnovers forced per game, including a league-high 33 turnovers forced during conference play this season.
Redshirt junior guard Jonah Hinton leads the Rams with 15 points per game, including an A-10 best 44 3-point field goals on the season.
