Philadelphia, PA - La Salle University men's and women's indoor track & field teams will begin their 2026 seasons Saturday, racing in the Penn Select meet at the University of Pennsylvania's Ott Center. The meet will start at noon.
The men's and women's teams are hoping to build off last year's finishes in the conference championship meet. The men finished ninth last year in the conference championship with 18 points, and the women finished tied for ninth with 31 points.
Who's Back
Junior
Gwenno Goode, fresh off another NCAA XC National Championship appearance in November, returns to the women's team after winning the A-10 individual 3k title and being named to the conference's All-Academic team last season. Goode also was part of the winning DMR team at the 2025 conference championships, and her teammates, seniors
Neve Moulai and
Lexy Rivard and junior
Soleil Morrison, all will be back racing for the Blue and Gold. Junior
Helene Usher will be back for her third season, as last year she took bronze in the indoor 5k. For the men, junior
Matt Hill, who was selected to the A-10 All-Rookie squad last year, will be back for his second indoor season. Sophomore
Callum Murray comes back after a strong freshman campaign, in which he finished sixth in the 1k.
New Faces
La Salle adds a talented freshman class in 2026, featuring 14 freshmen on the men's team, and eight freshman on the women's team, as well as five transfers (two men, three women). Sophomore
Quentin Williams comes from Howard, while sophomores
Havanna Gordon and
Jorden Gore come from Lock Haven and Indiana Tech, respectively.
Lily Moore, a sophomore, comes from Slippery Rock, while junior
Charlie Rogers transferred in from Alabama.
The Schedule
The Explorers' 2026 schedule consists of eight meets. After the Penn Select meet, the teams compete again at the Ott Center on Saturday, January 17 in the Quaker Invite. The teams will race in five more meets, which will be ran in either the New York, Philadelphia, or Boston metro areas, before concluding their season with the A-10 Conference Championship meet, which will run from Feb. 27-28.
