Bethlehem, Pa. – The La Salle men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Paul Short Run on Friday morning. The women's team finished 26th with a score of 751 points in the College Gold 6K, while both men and women competed in their respective Open races.
For the Gold race, senior
Gwenno Goode led the Explorers in finishing, earning 97th place in a time of 22:08.9. Following her, juniors
Cara Coppolino and
Amelia Green finished 151st and 159th with times of 22:39.3 and 22:42.8, respectively. Sophomore
Beca Bown finished 175th with a time of 22:49.8. Rounding it out for the Blue & Gold, sophomore
Niamh Partridge and senior
Katherine Rogers finished in 211th and 225th with times of 23:07.6 and 23:17.2, respectively.
In the men's 8K Open, junior
Ricky Lee earned a 174th place finish with a time of 27.14.1. Following him was senior
Gustavo David Galarza Maldonado, finishing in 379th place with a time of 28:54.2.
In the women's 6K Open, senior
Helene Usher achieved third place in a time of 21:17.3. After her was graduate student
Lexy Rivard in 52nd place, with a time of 22:46.3. Freshman
Lindsay McCorkel followed in 181st place, with a time of 24:27.6. Rounding out the women's Open for the Explorers, senior
Catey Gandolfo-Lucia finished in 290th place with a time of 26:14.9, and freshman
Gianna Chipriano earned 308th place with a time of 26:37.7.
Both teams return to the course on October 16, racing in the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, N.J.
