PHILADELPHIA, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team (7-17, 3-8 A-10) returns to John E. Glaser on Wednesday night to continue Atlantic 10 play against VCU (18-6, 9-2 A-10), presented by City Fitness.
What's Up, Dock?
During A-10 play, redshirt sophomore guard Rob Dockery is averaging 12.9 points, a team-best 6.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and a team-best 1.6 steals per game while shooting 51% from the field.
Against No. 19 Saint Louis, Dockery finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. In his last three games, Dockery is averaging 16.7 points, nine rebounds, and 3.3 assists, while shooting 51.4% from the field.
Dockery ranks eighth in the A-10 with 36 steals and 1.5 steals per game during the 2025-26 campaign.
Marshall Leads The Way
Graduate student guard Jaeden Marshall leads the team with 12.6 points per game and 45 3-point field goals. Marshall is shooting 71-for-81 (87.7%) from the free-throw line this season, the third-best free-throw percentage in the A-10 while ranking 52nd in the nation.
He enters the game against VCU with 982 career points. Marshall has tallied more than 20 points in four different games this season.
The Rookie
Freshman guard Ashton Walker leads all A-10 freshmen in assists (79), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9), and assists per game (3.3). He also ranks in the league's top 10 in all three categories. Along with Dockery, Walker is the only other Explorer to have played in all 24 games this season.
Floor General
In A-10 play, sophomore guard Jaden Johnson ranks third in the league with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.8. He also ranks seventh with 4.1 assists per game.
Post Presence
Graduate student forward Josiah Harris is averaging 10.1 points and 5.7 rebounds during A-10 play. Harris ranks fourth in the league with 2.3 offensive rebounds per game. He also ranks sixth in the league with three double-doubles on the season.
Injury Bug
La Salle has had 104 games missed by 10 players this season, which is believed to be the third most in the nation, trailing Boston U and Binghamton.
Starting forward Jerome Brewer Jr. did not play due to injury in the team's last two contests. Brewer Jr. leads the Explorers with 14 points and 31.2 minutes per game during A-10 play while shooting 51.6% from the field.
Starting Shuffle
Through 24 games, the Blue and Gold have rolled out 17 different starting lineups. 13 different players have started in a game this season. Only two players (Dockery and Johnson) have started in all 11 conference games. Walker is the only other player to appear in all 11 league games this season.
The Series
VCU leads the series 14-2. The teams first met in 1983. The Rams earned a 96-66 win in Richmond last season (Feb. 4, 2025). La Salle is looking for its first win against the Rams since 2015.
Block Party
Junior forward Edwin Daniel ranks ninth in the A-10 with 1.2 blocks per game and rounds out the top 10 with 28 blocks. Earlier this season, Daniel blocked at least one shot in 12 straight games (Nov. 22, 2025 - Jan. 10, 2026).
Getting To The Line
All seven of the Explorers' victories this season occurred when they had more free throw attempts than their opponent. During A-10 play, La Salle rounds out the league's top five with 234 free throw attempts.
Scouting The Rams
The Rams enter the game with seven straight victories, including five by single digits. In their last game, VCU earned a 99-73 home victory against Dayton.
VCU ranks first in the A-10 and fourth in the nation with 37.1 bench points per game. The Rams are also one of the best teams in the nation at getting to the charity stripe, ranking sixth in free throws made per game (19.9) and ninth in attempts per game (26.8)
The Rams feature two of the A-10's top 15 scorers in Terrence Hill Jr. (14.5 PPG) and Lazar Djokovic (13.5 PPG).

The Explorers will travel to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. Duquesne earned a 67-62 win over the Explorers last season.
