New York, NY – The La Salle women's track team competed Friday afternoon at The Armory hosted by Rutgers University.
All five Explorers athletes that competed ran in the women's 5k college race. Leading the way was sophomore Gillian Lovett, who placed second with a time of 17:25.64. Junior Stella Hammond was next, getting fourth with a time of 17:39.38. Sophomores Amelia Green and Cara Coppolino went eighth and ninth with times of 17:57.97 and 18:03, respectively. Senior Emma Taylor closed out the race for the Explorers, with her time of 18:42.4 getting her 14th.
La Salle women's track & field returns to the track on Saturday, February 14 at the BU Valentine Invitational. The meet will start at 9:30 am and will be streamed on FloSports.
