This Week In La Salle Athletics: Baseball Hosts Weekend A-10 Series; Lacrosse Plays Final Home Game Saturday

Here is a look of the action to come this week for La Salle Athletics, brought to you by Hershey's Ice Cream.   
 
Baseball 
  • La Salle returns home for a weekend series at Hank DeVincent Field, welcoming Fordham to 20th and Olney.  
  • The Explorers won a game Saturday at Rhode Island and dropped close games on Friday and Sunday by a combined four runs in a tight series in Kingston, RI.  
  • Chase Swain had a monster week for La Salle, hitting three home runs to lead the offense. Swain hit two of them in a 19-3 victory at Saint Peter's last Wednesday.

Women's Lacrosse 
  • La Salle plays its final home game of the season on Saturday at 11:00 am, hosting St. Bonaventure.  
  • Saturday's game will be Alumni Appreciation, where the program will honor alumni at halftime. It will also be LaCROSSe Out Cancer. Seniors will also be honored for what will be their final game at McCarthy Stadium.

Men's Golf 
  • Today, the Explorers wrap up the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational at Northampton Country Club. Gavin Dosch currently sits T-2nd at two strokes under par. 
  • On Friday, La Salle will celebrate senior day in a dual match at Wagner College.

Track and Field 
  • La Salle track & field competes in two meets this weekend from Friday-Saturday: the Paul Donahue Invite and the Virginia Challenge. 
  • Junior Gwenno Goode placed ninth in the 1500m at the Duke Invitational with a time of 4:19.01, a new program record. 
  • Freshman Sean Cronin also set a program record in the 1500m at the Duke Invitational, finishing in 3:40.26 to get third.

Women's Rowing 
  • On Saturday, the La Salle women's rowing team will race Loyola-Maryland on the Schuylkill River. 
  • Last weekend, the team's varsity four boat placed second in their respective final.
