Piscataway, NJ – The La Salle field hockey team fell to Rutgers, 5-0, Sunday afternoon at Rutgers.
The Explorers kept Rutgers scoreless through the opening 15 minutes, with senior goalkeeper Abby Boggs making six saves in the first quarter. Rutgers broke through in the second quarter, scoring twice to take a 2-0 lead into halftime, before adding three more in the second half.
Boggs finished with 19 saves, including six in both the first and third quarters.
La Salle falls to 3-6 on the season and will return to action next Friday at Richmond for their third A10 contest of the season, before returning home to take on LIU in their annual Headstrong Attack Cancer game on Sunday.
