2006 - Named to the Philadelphia All-Diamond Five Team, and both the Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia All-Area Academic Team...Was selected the D-5 Pitcher of the Week three times...Made 15 starts and appeared in 16 games...Started the season with a six-inning, four strikeout outing at Arizona (2/26)...At Duke (3/7), threw 6.1 innings and struck out seven batters...Set career-high with 12 Ks (the most by an Explorer since Will Fleck struck out 13 in 1997) in six innings versus Delaware State (3/14), getting his first win, while walking one and scattering three hits...Followed that with a nine-strikeout performance versus Temple (3/21)...At Dayton (3/26), combined on a shutout, going 6.0 innings with five Ks for second win...Went 6.0 innings with 11 Ks at Delaware (4/5) to get third win...In last four outings, threw 27.0 innings, allowed just four earned runs (1.33 ERA) and struck out 28 batters...That included a career-high eight innings pitched in a complete game effort at George Washington (4/29) with seven Ks, and winning his final start at Temple (5/19) with seven innings and eight Ks...His 15 starts are the most in a single season at La Salle...Also finished second in Strikeouts (90), fifth in ERA (2.79 - the best mark at the school in 20 years), and sixth in Innings Pitched (87.0) in a single season at the school...He ended the season on the career list in ERA (T-3rd - 4.02); Games Started (6th - 29); and Strikeouts (7th - 130) and has a chance to enter the list in four other categories. 2005 - Won his first game as a collegiate in his third start, throwing a one-hitter over 5.0 innings at Duquesne (3/19), which was part of a combined shutout...Threw a 7.0-inning shutout, the only one by an Explorer, with five strikeouts against Fordham (3/26), scattering seven hits for his second win...Threw another complete game (7.0 innings) versus Dayton (4/16), but suffered the loss...Won his third game at Xavier (4/25), with 5.0 innings of work...Had another five-strikeout game versus Richmond (5/6)...Had a streak of 14 innings of scoreless baseball...His 14 starts - which was tied for second all-time in a single season - and 58.2 innings pitched led the team...Was second on the team in wins (3 - tied), complete games (2), and strikeouts (40 - tied). High School - Earned First Team All-Catholic in junior and senior seasons...A Pennsylvania All-East All-Star as a junior...Ranked second overall left handed pitcher in Pennsylvania and 25th overall following his senior season in 2003...Garnered Philadelphia Inquirer First Team honors as a junior and senior...Also played football.
